About Caroline

Caroline started playing the violin when she was five, and has since focused on classical and Celtic music. Caroline is the 2016 National Junior Scottish Fiddle champion, and won the New England championship title in both 2014 and 2015 . Through Scottish fiddling, she has been involved in several groups, including the Young Tradition Touring Group with whom she toured in England and Scotland, and the Scottish Fish, a Boston-based fiddle quintet which has performed in numerous local venues and festivals and was featured on NPR and in American Girl Magazine. The Scottish Fish produced their first album, Splash, in the summer of 2017.

Caroline has appeared in concert with Darol Anger, Hanneke Cassel, Pete Sutherland, and Alasdair Fraser among others. In addition to hired performances and shows, Caroline plays frequent benefit concerts for a variety of nonprofit organizations. Before graduating in 2018, Caroline attended Arlington High School and was a member of the AHS Honors Orchestra, with whom she toured Italy in 2015 and 2018. She was selected to demonstrate jazz violin technique to teachers at the National Association for Music Educators Conference in Nashville, TN (2015). Caroline is currently pursuing a joint degree from Tufts University and New England Conservatory. For more information about benefit concerts, fiddle lessons, or booking, please visit the Contact Us  page.
